A Message From James Bates

James was born at 32 weeks with severe brain damage. He was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus and had to get a vp shunt put in. He was in the NICU for 2 months. James also has history of seizures, cerebral palsy, chronic lung disease and he might be legally blind. James is now 2 years old and has finally started school. He is a very kind and strong little boy. He has been through a lot these 2 years. His goals are to one day be able to walk, talk, see better and just achieve great things in his life. We are so excited to begin our journey with Little Light House and watch James reach these milestones! Laps for Little Ones 5K & Fun Run will be held on October 26, 2024 at Broadmoor Baptist Church, located at 1531 Highland Colony Parkway, Madison, MS 39110. In Support of Little Light House of Central Mississippi
Steeped in a tradition of academic and therapeutic excellence, the Little Light House is a tuition-free Developmental Center that for over three decades has been making a difference in the lives of hundreds of children with special needs. Founded in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Little Light House opened its first affiliate school in Central Mississippi, in January of 2006. The Little Light House of Central Mississippi is financially and operationally independent of its parent school in Tulsa.
