A Message From Eliza Rideout
Hi friends!
My name is Eliza Rideout and I was born with the most severe form of Spina Bifida- Myelomeningocele. Spina Bifida is a neural tube defect that occurs when the spine and spinal cord don’t form properly. I also have a VP Shunt that controls my Hydrocephalus (extra fluid on my brain). Due to the location of my neural tube defect, I’m unable to stand or walk independently but my wheelchair provides me the ability to play just like any other 4 year old! In April of this year, I had double hip surgery to correct my hip dysplasia in hopes that I will ambulate independently someday and with the help from my wonderful therapists at Little Lighthouse, I am hopeful that I will achieve that goal!
It costs $20,000 per student each year to receive the education and therapy services that the Little Lighthouse offers, but thanks to people like you and this wonderful community, the families of Little Lighthouse students don’t pay a dime! This is such a blessing to us all!!
Please consider donating to the Little Lighthouse today to help Eliza, the current students, and future students reach their goals!

In Support of Little Light House of Central Mississippi
Steeped in a tradition of academic and therapeutic excellence, the Little Light House is a tuition-free Developmental Center that for over three decades has been making a difference in the lives of hundreds of children with special needs. Founded in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Little Light House opened its first affiliate school in Central Mississippi, in January of 2006. The Little Light House of Central Mississippi is financially and operationally independent of its parent school in Tulsa.
