A Message From James Bates

James was born at 32 weeks with severe brain damage. He was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus and had to get a vp shunt. James has a history of seizures, cerebral palsy, severe respiratory issues, and he might be legally blind. James has finally started school this year at age 3. James has been through a lot this year. He was in the hospital for 5 months this year. His goals are to one day be able to walk, talk, see better so he can achieve great things. Since starting Little Lighthouse this year, James has already been holding his head up more, having good trunk control and also tracking toys and etc. We are so excited to continue our journey at Little Lighthouse and watch James reach his milestones.

In Support of Little Light House of Central Mississippi
Steeped in a tradition of academic and therapeutic excellence, the Little Light House is a tuition-free Developmental Center that for over three decades has been making a difference in the lives of hundreds of children with special needs. Founded in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Little Light House opened its first affiliate school in Central Mississippi, in January of 2006. The Little Light House of Central Mississippi is financially and operationally independent of its parent school in Tulsa.
